On April 23rd, the Red Cross has a goal to install 1000 smoke alarms in Brown County. For this event to be a success, the Red Cross needs 250-300 volunteers. We are encouraging individuals to recruit friends, families, and coworkers to create an install team.
The install team is a group of three: An Installer, a Documenter and a Safety Educator. The team will install new 10 year lithium battery operated smoke detectors, replace existing outdated smoke detectors or ensuring current smoke detectors have batteries. The team will also help the residents prepare an emergency plan. This is all done at no cost to the residents.
