Needs From: Volunteer Center of Brown County

Volunteer: Be a Big in Manitowoc or Sheboygan County

Are you a cool person? Do you enjoy the simpler things in life like going for walk in the woods, playing basketball, binge watching your favorite show, or going grocery shopping so you can meal plan for the week? What if I told you that by doing those things, you may be an amazing mentor, or Big as we like to call them, for a Little?

At Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline, we have well over 150 Littles on our waiting list that are looking for someone just like you. Someone that's able to give a little bit of their time, about 1 hour per week, to make the biggest impact. You want to spend some time out in the community with your Little going on adventures? Great! We have our community based program for that. You need something with a bit more structure and a set routine to be able to take that next step? Excellent! We have our school based program for that.

We are here and we are ready to meet all future mentors where they are currently at in life; we have dedicated staff that will help you along every step of the way from getting started, to being matched with your Little, to help talk you through the challenges that may come up, and celebrate in all of the many successes with you as well.

Are you ready to learn more and take that first step? Check out our website to learn more about why mentoring could be the best fit for you: https://bbbswishoreline.org/why-mentor

We can't wait to hear from you!

Volunteer: Committee Opportunity - Bowl for Kids' Sake 2024

Are you passionate about helping children? Do you enjoy having fun with family and friends? Do you like the idea of being part of something HUGE?  Join the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake Committee as we prepare to plan the 42nd Annual event! We saw some exciting things happen in 2023 and are looking for creative, motivated people to join our committee to keep the momentum going.

The committee meetings will kick off in 2023 and the actual event will take place in early March 2024, but we're needing someone like YOU to help make it something truly extraordinary. A little time and hard work can make BIG things happen!

If you're interested in learning more, please contact Kayla Fabian at kayla@bbbswishoreline.org or (920)458-0111.
