Join our Environmental Justice Task Force in cleaning up a segment of the highway! There are three opportunities in 2026 to help clean up your local environment. In our off-season, the majority of our boats are stored in a semi trailer. Once in the spring and once in the fall, we need to unload or load this trailer and are always in need of volunteers for this task.

Our Imagination Station is a hands-on, open-ended play space where kids build, invent, and explore using a variety of materials. As an Imagination Station Monitor, your role is to help monitor the area, keep materials tidy and available, and encourage safe, imaginative play. You’ll be welcoming families, answering basic questions, and gently guiding children when needed.

This role is available to pick up Tuesdays-Saturdays during museum open hours.

Rawhide Youth Services is looking for dedicated volunteer groups to assist with ongoing maintenance and beautification projects at our 700-acre New London campus. This is a great opportunity for corporate teams, church groups, school organizations, or community clubs to work together, enjoy the outdoors, and make a direct impact on the lives of at-risk youth.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

The Seymour Park Food Forest project aims to help alleviate food insecurity and food deserts within the City of Green Bay by growing healthy local food in this public park in a way that is sustainable, costs less money over time, and reduces maintenance for the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.  It is a pilot project in partnership with New Leaf Foods, the City of Green Bay, and the Seymour Park Neighborhood Association. This project is located at the Frank B. Seymour Park at 314 S Ashland Ave Green Bay, WI 54303.

Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis to help to plant, weed, water, harvest, and maintain the garden and food forest. Occasionally, special volunteer projects/events may also be held at Seymour Park. We're looking for volunteers with garden knowledge as well as people that want to learn.

Spend some time with one of our awesome residents in a one-on-one setting for games and good conversation. It is very rewarding to have a friendship and interaction with a senior. 

Youth Sports at the Y are game-based programs that teach children (ages 4-14 years) the fundamentals and rules of an individual sport.  The Y also incorporates character development into the program for each sport. Sport schedules rotate throughout the year and include times for basketball, tennis, football, soccer, baseball, and volleyball.

JOB SUMMARY: VOLUNTEER EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

As a living history cultural organization, Heritage Hill State Historical Park takes pride in bringing the past to life and demonstrating things like old farm equipment, blacksmithing techniques and 19th century printing presses for our visitors. But we also use plenty of 21st century machinery behind the scenes to help maintain the park and we need your help to keep our modern machinery running!

JOB SUMMARY

As a team member of Heritage Hill State Historical Park, you will help build a positive working environment as well as inspire, transform and build our community through exceptional cultural and historic experiences. Under the general supervision of the Park’s (Restoration/ Maintenance Manager), (Equipment Mechanic)provides principal support and assures seamless functioning of the (Restoration/Maintenance Department).

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preventive maintenance and repairs of the park’s golf carts both gasoline and electric.

Preventive maintenance and repairs of the park’s small equipment-including weed trimmers,  chainsaws, riding lawn mowers.

Medium size equipment preventative maintenance-including oil, air, fluid filter changes on a RAM 3500 truck, Genie Ariel lift, Bobcat skid steer, John Deere tractor.

Some basic rust and paint repairs required with the preventive maintenance duties.

Moderate Knowledge of diesel engines, Hydraulics, brake repairs and powertrains a plus however not required.  

Purpose: Assist the Restoration/Maintenance department with the preventative maintenance and repairs to the park’s power equipment.

Key Responsibilities:  

Maintain a stocked toolbox and hand tools in good working order.

Perform preventative equipment maintenance.

Troubleshoot and Diagnose equipment problems.

Determine needed parts for equipment and perform repairs.

The Length of Appointment: Ongoing year round

Time Commitment: 4hrs/week, flexible scheduling

Qualifications: Knowledgeable of small gasoline engines and small equipment repair. Medium equipment repair would be additionally helpful however not required.

Ticket Scanners: Volunteers will be given a handheld ticket scanning device. Once they are at their assigned gate, a supervisor will train them how to use. Volunteers scan tickets of fans upon entering the stadium. Groups normally stay 30-45 minutes after kick-off and will then be released by their gate supervisor. Approximate shifts 3.5 - 4.5 hours

Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations. The Volunteer Custodian helper provides principal support and assures seamless functioning of the (Restoration/Maintenance Department).

Lead Coordinator and team members both needed. Volunteer would do Fundraisers/Events to help raise money for our organization. Need to be creative, energetic, and have an ability to get people involved. Minors may participate on team as long as they have Adult Leader. 

We have a need for a volunteer to help sort and mate shoes as well as fold and prep linen for our sales floor. 

Cashiers are needed at our East location on weekends. Timing is flexible, we are open on Saturday from 9am-7pm and on Sunday from 11am-6pm; we usually have our volunteers work for a minimum of 2 hours. There is a brief training to explain our systems, and system is very user-friendly. This volunteer opportunity is a great way to socialize with people in the community and meet new people while impacting our organization in a big way!

Put newly tagged and priced goods out onto the sales floor and remove old color tags from the floor. 

Greet the public coming to donate, help them unload their donations and thank them for their support. 

Your chance to get that manure together and keep our horse hygiene high! It’s a great way to get a workout. Text our Equine Specialist, Lisa Pelky at 920-609-5637 to set up a time to come to the Farm to get started. 

We would like to hold monthly booyah sales to raise money for the care of our horses. Since we are a volunteer run, non-profit rescue group, this is a strong need. We are looking for a person or group of people willing to coordinate monthly booyah sales. This includes shopping for the ingredients, making the booyah, and selling it. It is not expected you be the only participant; just the lead. If you are someone who enjoys cooking, working with others, and helping animals in need, we would love to have you join our team.

200 Children are depending on volunteers so they can play ball once it's safe to proceed. Currently we are in the planning stages but continue with our efforts to secure volunteers for our 2022 season. Opening day is June 4th, 2022 and closing day will be August 6th, 2022.
The Miracle League of Green Bay needs able bodied volunteers to assist children with disabilities to play baseball. Our players range from age 4 to 19 and each require a Buddy to assist them during play. We play real baseball, with real teams on a real baseball diamond. "We are in desperate need of male buddies for our 2022 Season. If you or someone you know can commit to 1 1/2 hours once a week for 10 weeks this summer, you're exactly who we're looking for!"

The Miracle League of Green Bay, a baseball and social program for children with physical or cognitive disabilities, is currently looking for 'buddies' and 'team assistants' to assist our athletes for the 2022 baseball season (We're looking forward to our upcoming season which is: Jume4th to August 6th, 2021). One game will be played per week on T, TH (4, 5:30 or 7 pm) or W (5:30 or 7 pm) plus 2 Saturdays on 6/5 and 8/7 (game times vary). Each child must have an able-bodied buddy in order to play. The minimum age for a buddy is 14 years with all ages welcome! Buddies assist the athlete in any way they may need, yet allow the player to challenge their abilities. They do not have to be experienced baseball players..they simply need to guide and support our athletes as needed. Training will be provided on how to best interact with athletes. We also have a strong need for 'team assistants' who will be responsible for coordinating buddies' attendance on a weekly basis for their assigned team. Laundry Love - Green Bay hosts free laundry washing events for neighbors who need assistance in this area. 

We host these events 2 times a month.

*Every 2nd Tuesday from 11am-130pm @ Corner Coin East

*Every 4th Friday from 630pm-9pm @ Corner Coin West

We have opportunities at these events for ages 9-adult.

We need volunteers to assist the neighbors with washing and drying. We can share these different stations with you and see where you fit best. We also serve a meal and need volunteers to assist with that.
