Help us ring in the holiday season! Each year, Heritage Hill invites the community to attend A Heritage Hill Christmas. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a magical experience for our guests. You'll not only help preserve our historical village's charm but also create lasting memories for families in our community. It's a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in history while celebrating the spirit of Christmas in a unique setting.

PLEASE INDICATE IN WHICH AREA YOU WOULD PREFER TO VOLUNTEER. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ASSIGN YOU TO THESE POSITONS, BUT NO GUARENTEES. 

Education Center Decoration

Assist in decorating either the main lobby, the event hall, or the Ed Center tree. This will be the first building our visitors will see, so we’re hoping to blow them away!

Hope Care Package Drive

Community Benefit Tree (CBT) needs your support to host a care package drive and help families going through a medical crisis by providing some joy, hope and comfort.  When families have a sick loved one, they often are drained emotionally and financially.  We would like to send them care packages to assist them during their difficult time.  

Looking for companies, schools, churches, families and organizations to host a "Hope Care Package Drive". The collection box will display a list of needs to assemble the care packages to give to families in the community struggling with a medical crisis.  These items will be packaged and given to families who need immediate assistance.

Items needed:  Gas cards, Restaurant cards, Coffee Place gift cards, Grocery Store gift cards, board and card games, socks, blankets, lip balm, lotions, crossword puzzles, kid's toys, coloring books (adult and child), crayons, colored pencils, and totes to put the items in.

Medical Debt Awareness-#1 Cause of Bankruptcy. 1 and 3 people delay medical care due to cost. Give Gift Cards

Giving to local families that are in a medical crisis with some immediate relief all while giving them some peace of mind!  You can drop off the gift cards at Community Benefit Tree at 1734 Ken Dale Drive Kaukauna. Office hours are M, T, W, and F 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Th 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This can also be done as a drive at your place of employment, school, church, etc.

Cards that are LIFE SAVING: Grocery stores, gas cards, restaurant cards, hotel cards, and airline cards.

We have volunteer opportunities to help process items that are donated to our thrift store, such as cleaning the item, checking to make sure all parts and pieces are included, checking to see if in good condition and working properly, and labeling with the proper store code. This is a good opportunity for families and/or groups to come together and support a good cause.

We have equipment that we use at each of our family fundraisers and/or
rent out to the public, that at times needs to be repaired, painted, or created. Along with
re-purposing of items to sell in our Online store. We need individuals
who are good with fixing things and/or good with building/working with wood, crafty, like to paint, etc…

QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of painting, mechanical, crafty, creative
and good with wood would be helpful but required.

TIME COMMITMENT: Assist as needed basis for specific projects/repairs.
AGE: 16 and up

Volunteer at Celebrations of Support (family benefits) fundraising events as well as our main impact fund events assisting with raffles, silent auctions, kids games, bake sale, serving food, grilling, etc.

Provide attentive, loving, and safe childcare for children while their parents participate in evening educational programming. This role supports the overall mission of our community by ensuring children are well-cared for during programming.

Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Thursday from 6:30-7:30pm.

Girls on the Run is a 10 week youth development program that creatively integrates running and movement into social-emotional lessons that empower girls to feel joyful, healthy, and confident.  We are always looking for volunteers to help lead kids through the lessons with the goal of completing a fun 5K as the culminating, celebratory event. We provide training for all new coaches and there are always two coaches at each practice. We have opportunities in the fall and spring seasons. ANYONE CAN BE A COACH! We need a volunteer to get the refreshment table ready by making coffee, filling the water jug, and bringing baked good from our downstairs lunchroom upstairs to the senior room. Our Imagination Station is a hands-on, open-ended play space where kids build, invent, and explore using a variety of materials. As an Imagination Station Monitor, your role is to help monitor the area, keep materials tidy and available, and encourage safe, imaginative play. You’ll be welcoming families, answering basic questions, and gently guiding children when needed.

This role is available to pick up Tuesdays-Saturdays during museum open hours.

Volunteer mentors spend time (2-3 times per month) in a recreational or learning activity with a child, age 3 or older, that has been referred by Brown County Child Protective Services. Volunteer mentors help the child adjust to the separation or loss of a parent, enhance self-esteem and confidence, and learn new skills. Matches are invited to attend a fun activity each month that is free of charge. Matches are based on compatibility and can continue for as long as both parties are interested though the hope would be to have volunteers engaged with their Pal for a minimum of 1 year.

Many neighborhoods find that by banding together and forming a Neighborhood Association, they are better able to meet the collective needs of the Neighborhood.

Would you like to assist Habitat for Humanity in a one time volunteer opportunity on our special events?   We are looking for volunteers who would like to help on various tasks that include our education and fundraising events.   These tasks include asking for silent auction items, arranging baskets, driving to and picking silent auction items donated by businesses. 

Help on the annual volunteer recognition banquet doing the same type of tasks. 

We could also use a volunteer who might like to pick up donated lunches and bring them to the Build Crew and our Restore volunteers.  

We also need volunteers to assist on special donation pick ups on Monday and Tuesday.   These volunteers are as needed basis and get to go out in our truck with our staff to various businesses and other Restores in Wisconsin to pick up merchandise.

The NEW Zoo needs YOU!

Volunteer opportunities available will depend on the season and weather, but the possibilities are nearly endless!* We require no minimum hour commitments from our volunteers. You can choose your own schedule or choose to assist us with a variety of date-specific events, such as our yearly fundraisers and ongoing educational programs.

*Please note that the majority of NEW Zoo volunteers ARE NOT able to work directly with zoo animals, for safety and other reasons. The NEW Zoo is looking for volunteers who are interested in supervising the Giraffe Feeding Experience! 

The Feeding Experience is a daily opportunity for volunteers to be involved in, to support the NEW Zoo. You set your own schedule after training by signing up for open shifts whenever you would like to supervise a feeding sessions. Sessions are typically 2. 5 hours long, with some variation seasonally. 

It’s a great opportunity for those who enjoy working with people – as we’ll teach you how to interact with our visitors and help them make amazing connections with our lovable giraffes, Nigel, Eddie, and Zuri!  Of course, you’ll also get to build some pretty special relationships with the giraffes themselves. Scheduling is flexible.

By participating in our STEM kit refurbishment initiative, you can directly impact the education of students in classrooms across our community.

As a volunteer with The Einstein Project, you will be involved in refurbishing STEM kits for classroom use. By refurbishing these kits, you play a vital role in ensuring that students have access to high-quality educational resources. Your tasks may include cleaning, repairing, and organizing materials, ensuring that each kit is in excellent condition for students to learn from. Your attention to detail and dedication will directly contribute to the success of STEM education in our local schools.

Spend some time with one of our awesome residents in a one-on-one setting for games and good conversation. It is very rewarding to have a friendship and interaction with a senior. 

Youth Sports at the Y are game-based programs that teach children (ages 4-14 years) the fundamentals and rules of an individual sport.  The Y also incorporates character development into the program for each sport. Sport schedules rotate throughout the year and include times for basketball, tennis, football, soccer, baseball, and volleyball.

Calling all creative, passionate arts supporters and advocates! We are looking to build our volunteer base and strengthen our subcommittees!

We host three large arts events per year, requiring many  helping hands and creative hearts.We  participate in many seasonal community arts events that would benefit from your creativity and arts related ideas. We are also looking for  arts advocates to strengthen our committees, especially involving volunteer management, fundraising, community engagement and artist support. If you would like to be part of our team we would love to hear from you! Time commitment is variable for events. Committee involvement is typically one hour a month. Vigil Volunteers sit with patients during the active dying period who might otherwise die alone or provide relief sitting for caregivers. Assignments available throughout Brown County and several other Northeast Wisconsin communities.

Veteran Volunteers are matched with a Veteran patient who may have a similar military background.

These unique companion volunteers bring the gift of friendship to our Veteran patients. They enhance quality of life through regular social visits by offering support, companionship and assistance with non-medical tasks to ensure that patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort.

Volunteers and their dogs are needed! Pet Volunteers make social visits to hospice patients with the pet therapy certified dogs 2-3 times a month for increased socialization and companionship. Not pet therapy certified? Contact us and we can provide you with information on how to certify your dog!

Looking for a way to give back? Heartland is looking for new volunteers to join our team! Friendly Visitor volunteers spend time with hospice patients in need of some additional socialization and companionship. Common activities include reading to patients, going for walks, assisting patients with letter writing, playing cards, or just listening or holding someone's hand during their end of life journey.

Share your musical talents with hospice patients! If you play a musical instrument or enjoy singing, share your abilities with a hospice patient who enjoys music.

Looking for a way to give back? Heartland is looking for new volunteers to join our team! Help family members of hospice patients who have passed away within the past year. Following training by Heartland Bereavement Coordinators, help by making phone calls or personal visits to individuals in Heartland Hospice's bereavement program. Clerical help is also needed in the Bereavement office.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Zoo Ambassador at the NEW Zoo! Zoo Ambassadors facilitate interactions between our animals and guests, and help our guests make connections to the animals. Zoo Ambassadors learn how to use empathy to connect our guests with animals in the zoo.

Children's Zoo shifts are  typically 2 hours long, from 10am-12pm or from 12pm-2pm. At some times of the year, shift hours may vary. Shifts are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. After you complete training, you can set your own schedule according to your availability by signing up to supervise the shift(s) of your choice. Must be aged 15+ for this opportunity, unless working with a chaperone. Kids aged 8-14 can volunteer with an adult as partners.

Ticket Scanners: Volunteers will be given a handheld ticket scanning device. Once they are at their assigned gate, a supervisor will train them how to use. Volunteers scan tickets of fans upon entering the stadium. Groups normally stay 30-45 minutes after kick-off and will then be released by their gate supervisor. Approximate shifts 3.5 - 4.5 hours

Newcap has 3 Interim Houses (Shelters), 2 in Green Bay and 1 in Shawano. One of the houses in Green Bay is for youth ages 10-17 and the other 2 are for families. We are looking for people to do Workshops with the clients. This would include budgeting, cooking, crafts, running a household, etc type of classes. 

We could also use assistance with regular meals made for the homes. Holiday meals as well.

A Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Volunteer activities within our organization. The duties include interviewing and hiring Volunteers, placing Volunteers in different roles based on their qualifications and maintaining accurate Volunteer records.

Volunteer needed to oversee all Social Media Accounts. This includes researching platforms to keep up with best practices. 

Should have the ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand for our organization. They should regularly post text, video and images that engage the market. Great verbal and written communication skills are essential. Should be creative in crafting engaging content. Technical/Computer skills are a must. Skills in learning social media trends and identifying new social media tools is important. Must have an understanding of the trends and techniques of social media as well as the company’s online presence to effectively handle social media marketing.

Woodside Manor and Woodside Lutheran Home gladly welcome volunteer musical entertainers.  The Life Enrichment Managers will work with you to arrange a time that works for you and the residents.

We need volunteer help to make sure that all of these visitors have a fun and welcoming experience! Spring is coming and we are looking for additional volunteers to help out in the gardens on Unity’s campus! The campus is a beautiful place to spend time during the summer months. We would like to hold monthly booyah sales to raise money for the care of our horses. Since we are a volunteer run, non-profit rescue group, this is a strong need. We are looking for a person or group of people willing to coordinate monthly booyah sales. This includes shopping for the ingredients, making the booyah, and selling it. It is not expected you be the only participant; just the lead. If you are someone who enjoys cooking, working with others, and helping animals in need, we would love to have you join our team.

200 Children are depending on volunteers so they can play ball once it's safe to proceed. Currently we are in the planning stages but continue with our efforts to secure volunteers for our 2022 season. Opening day is June 4th, 2022 and closing day will be August 6th, 2022.
The Miracle League of Green Bay needs able bodied volunteers to assist children with disabilities to play baseball. Our players range from age 4 to 19 and each require a Buddy to assist them during play. We play real baseball, with real teams on a real baseball diamond. Our Mascot needs a body to help him move! We still need a HOMER volunteer for special events and into our 2022 season! 2022 kicks off the 16th season of Miracle League of Green Bay baseball which will run from June 4th 2022 to August 6th 2022. Homer, our mascot is a VIP and players, coaches and volunteers alike look forward to his entertaining appearances throughout the season!

Unfortunately, Homer doesn't work very well without assistance. 
We are looking for a fun and energetic individual who can keep him moving so he can continue to interact at the ballpark throughout the season.

Homers shirt size is an extra large so someone taller would probably have the most success.

The Miracle League of Green Bay, a baseball and social program for children with physical or cognitive disabilities, is currently looking for 'buddies' and 'team assistants' to assist our athletes for the 2022 baseball season (We're looking forward to our upcoming season which is: Jume4th to August 6th, 2021). One game will be played per week on T, TH (4, 5:30 or 7 pm) or W (5:30 or 7 pm) plus 2 Saturdays on 6/5 and 8/7 (game times vary). Each child must have an able-bodied buddy in order to play. The minimum age for a buddy is 14 years with all ages welcome! Buddies assist the athlete in any way they may need, yet allow the player to challenge their abilities. They do not have to be experienced baseball players..they simply need to guide and support our athletes as needed. Training will be provided on how to best interact with athletes. We also have a strong need for 'team assistants' who will be responsible for coordinating buddies' attendance on a weekly basis for their assigned team.
