The Bay Area Humane Society is looking for a summer camp intern to assist with our day programs for kids between the ages of 5-16.
Programs run between June-August. Interns must be 18 years or older, arrive daily on time and in proper uniform, and have outgoing, friendly personalities. Interns must be able to commit to at least one full week of camp.
Ideal candidates will have experience with children in an educational setting. Intern will assist summer camp teacher with managing attendees, greeting and assisting check in/out daily, developing and implementing programming, set-up and clean-up of supplies and room, handling animals, and supervising during field trips.
Volunteers must have the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and reach. Most programs from 9:30am-4:30pm. Interns are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and be available to stay 30-45 minutes at the end of the day to assist with clean-up.
This position is unpaid.
