Volunteer Shifts:
Residential / Business Pick Ups
- Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pick your day to help.
- Two Saturdays per month 8:00 to 1:00
- Special project pickups - Can be put on list for short term volunteering
Donation Pick Up Assistant Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist the truck driver to pick up donations in the community
- Greet and thank donors (represent Habitat and ReStore in a positive manner)
- Load donations onto truck
- Fill out donation slips
- Answer truck phone and call donors before pick ups
- Ability to explain ReStore's mission
- Assist with unloading and organizing donations at the ReStore
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Age 18+
- Able to do heavy lifting (50+ lbs)
- Able to talk on the phone and provide customer service
Training & Resources Provided:
- 1/2 hour orientation
- Truck driver is always present to answer questions while completing pick ups
