A volunteer Communications Team member produces content for New Leaf Foods, adhering to our organization’s communication strategies, values and goals. Working with the Communications Team Lead, Communications Coordinator and other team members, this volunteer will have the opportunity to inform our community on local, healthy foods and resources, as well as our events and projects.  

Communication Team’s Goals: 

Promote our vision: good food for good health, now and for generations

Promote a clean environment for all

Create connections between local consumers, farmers and producers 

Work collaboratively with community, civic, business and educational institutions

Celebrate healthy local foods and farms

Provide local consumers with information on how to access local healthy food

Board members help guide organizational strategy, ensure strong governance, and make decisions that support our continued growth and community impact.

As a fundraising / grant writing volunteer, you will work with our resource development team to ensure New Leaf Foods’s access to financial resources which fund our projects and events. You will have the opportunity to help the team find grants to apply for and will assist in writing and editing grant applications. Team members also brainstorm and manage fundraising campaigns, and come together to conceptualize ways to monetize events to expand outreach for our mission. We are looking for someone with some previous grant writing experience for this role!

Aurora Healthcare Volunteer Opportunities

The Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus is looking for volunteers to help support the shelter. We are specifically in need of Foster Assistants to help with data driven support of animals placed in homes, both remotely and on-site. Summary:

The Media Data Coordinator helps build and strengthen relationships with national media outlets to increase awareness and support for Acts 1:8 Ministry. This role plays a key part in advancing our mission of “Equipping Christians to evangelize through kindness” by ensuring our message reaches a broader audience through strategic media engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Contact national Christian radio stations to inform them about Acts 1:8 Ministry, our mission, and our free outreach resources.

*Send the station our Public Service Announcement (PSA) to play on-air, every 6 months.

*Follow up with a phone call to the radio Stations, every 6 months.

*Schedule an interview for the Ministry Coordinator, whenever possible.

*Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Share your talents! You don't necessarily need to be a musician to help us reach our goals. We’d love to expand our board membership to include experts in the areas of marketing, fundraising, strategic planning, and educational outreach.

We're looking for volunteers to help create captivating social media content that is relevant to our mission and projects! As a member of our Communications Team, you would work closely with the team lead who will give you content assignments and ideas to keep us in our followers' feeds, that is meant to entertain, inform, educate, and/or inspire them. We strive to post 3-5 times a week with a variety of content formats: photos, graphics, and videos, but this can change depending on your availability! Experience editing short-form video and creating graphics is a plus, but not required.

The time commitment for this role is flexible and ongoing. We encourage you, if available, to attend our events to capture photos and videos. Some of these events will occur on evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities will include: 

Concierge Admission Program (CAP) include the following tasks for volunteers:

Advocate Aurora computer access is provided for all volunteers.

Training consists of 4-6 hours. Volunteers will learn to place and conduct patient calls with the guidance of our training coordinator, and when the volunteer feels confident with the call script and all questions/concerns are answered, they may begin to make calls on their own.

Good Neighbor Week event planning committee is looking for community members that wish to give back by helping to plan and execute a week of minor home repairs, landscaping, and yard maintenance for Green Bay homeowners who may have barriers to completing these types of projects on their own, due to limited income, disability, age, or a family situation. GNW is a collaboration between the city of Green Bay, Green Bay Neighborhoods, and NeighborWorks Green Bay. We meet virtually once every 3 weeks on a Monday from 4:00-5:00pm, February through September, culminating with Good Neighbor Week, the last week in September. Work outside of the meeting time is asked, 1-2 hours a month, depending on the planning stage.   

We are seeking members to join our planning committee or a subcommittee that focuses on:

-developing the application process and determining the projects that will be completed 

-developing sponsorships to fund the projects since the repairs are free to the homeowners

-coordinating individuals and groups of volunteers since all of the work is done by volunteers in the community

-assessing projects for estimates of materials, volunteer time, and equipment

-promoting the event through social media, local media (TV, newspaper, radio), neighborhood and community activities

Not able to attend the meetings but want to help?  Assistance can be given for things involving:

-a computer like preparing spreadsheets, documents, or surveys, etc.

-making phone calls to follow up on sponsorship letters, coordinating volunteers, communicating with homeowners and volunteers, etc.

-preparing for the week with material purchases, event organization, lunch coordination, and assembling project folders 

-promoting the event through social media, local media (TV, newspaper, radio), neighborhood and community activities!

Assists NeighborWorks Green Bay with formulating policies and procedures for lending and counseling activities and identifies strategies for new product development. Assists staff by providing technical expertise, volunteer time to explore new opportunities and services, and understands and advocates for the homeownership program. Assists with the development, monitoring, and updating of the counseling and lending marketing plan.

A Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Volunteer activities within our organization. The duties include interviewing and hiring Volunteers, placing Volunteers in different roles based on their qualifications and maintaining accurate Volunteer records.

Volunteer needed to oversee all Social Media Accounts. This includes researching platforms to keep up with best practices. 

Should have the ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand for our organization. They should regularly post text, video and images that engage the market. Great verbal and written communication skills are essential. Should be creative in crafting engaging content. Technical/Computer skills are a must. Skills in learning social media trends and identifying new social media tools is important. Must have an understanding of the trends and techniques of social media as well as the company’s online presence to effectively handle social media marketing. 

Lead Coordinator and team members both needed. Volunteer would do Fundraisers/Events to help raise money for our organization. Need to be creative, energetic, and have an ability to get people involved. Minors may participate on team as long as they have Adult Leader. 

Oversee Email Accounts of the Organization. Create Donor List/Groups/Labels in the Email Contacts. Keep up to date and build/add Donor Base. 

Sole responsibility is to form relationships with businesses/donors with a goal of receiving regular financial support to sustain the ministry. 

Firefly Acres Horse Farm is in need of talented individuals that understand the process of grant writing. There are many grants we wish to apply for, but need someone who has the time and talent to finding them and applying for them. We do have one grant writer currently, but help is definitely needed.
